FL: Florida Man Sentenced to Life in Prison for Killing Fellow Convicted Child Sex Offender Cellmate. He ‘Stomped’ on His Throat

A judge in Florida this week sentenced a 44-year-old man to spend the remainder of his life behind bars for the brutal murder of his former prison cellmate—a convicted child sex offender—whose throat he crushed.

A Santa Rosa County jury on Tuesday found Jimmy Ray Carruthers guilty of second-degree murder in the 2019 death of his 78-year-old cellmate, David Kever, the Pensacola News Journal (PNJ) reported. Immediately after the jury returned the guilty verdict, Circuit Court Judge Darlene Dickey handed Carruthers the life sentence. In a press release, First Judicial Circuit State Attorney Ginger Bowden Madden noted that the life sentence was mandatory under Florida law, as Carruthers had previously been convicted of violent felonies twice before.

And if it weren’t for this, he’d eventually get put and still wouldn’t need to register. I guess he isn’t as dangerous as a teen who took a nude selfish.

Killing inside, outside of the system, harassment, and it’s not punishment. I’ll take bull crap for a trillion. This country is definitely broken and I don’t know if it’s worth fixing.

Wait a sex offender killed another sex offender for being a sex offender, I’m confused I think he killed kever because he didn’t wanna get out of prison he had nothing on the streets to live for, in prison he’s somebody but on the outside he’s just a sex offender posted on Megan’s law.
The registery was the cause of this murder, what’s the point of getting out of prison if your on Megan’s law, that’s not a life that’s not freedom that’s just Borrowed time until you’re eventually arrested for FTR.
